On the Road Again: By Ashlyn
Passing through the mountains
With your ears popping like popcorn
Fields of cows and goats
Geez, I have no idea where I am
"Mom? Dad? Are we there yet?"
I find out we are not even close
But that doesn't matter
I love road trips
That feeling of freedom
When you roll the windows down
Your hair blows in the wind
The breeze cools your body
You feel infinite
Like nothing can stop you
Pit stops to load up on more packaged foods
There is a long road ahead of us
And there is no turning back
Life is kind of like that in a way
When you take a daring escape from reality
And everything changes
Hopefully in a positive manner
All that matter is you have
A family at your side
A friend or two
And a heart for adventure.
With your ears popping like popcorn
Fields of cows and goats
Geez, I have no idea where I am
"Mom? Dad? Are we there yet?"
I find out we are not even close
But that doesn't matter
I love road trips
That feeling of freedom
When you roll the windows down
Your hair blows in the wind
The breeze cools your body
You feel infinite
Like nothing can stop you
Pit stops to load up on more packaged foods
There is a long road ahead of us
And there is no turning back
Life is kind of like that in a way
When you take a daring escape from reality
And everything changes
Hopefully in a positive manner
All that matter is you have
A family at your side
A friend or two
And a heart for adventure.
Night Game: By Patrick
Game time ending with the day
Cool wind blows over the field
Home team down by one
the night sets in
The umpire gives up
Calling the game after the guest at bat
left the home team with a loss
The End of the Night Game
Cool wind blows over the field
Home team down by one

The umpire gives up
Calling the game after the guest at bat
left the home team with a loss
